A. - Long time ago in Bethlehem
Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say
Mary's Boy Child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas Day
CHORUS:
Hark, now hear the angels sing
a new King born today
and we can live eternally
because of Christmas Day.
Trumpets sound and angels sing
listen to what they say
That we can live eternally
because of Christmas Day.

While shepherds watched
their flocks by night
they saw a bright new shining star
They heard a choir sing
the music seemed to come from afar
Now Joseph and his wife Mary came to Bethlehem that night
They found no place to have her
Child not a single room was in sight.
CHORUS:

By and by they found a little nook
In a stable all forlorn
And in a manger cold and dark
Mary's little Boy was born
Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say
Mary's Boy Child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas Day

CHORUS:
B. It Came Upon The Midnight C lear
It came upon the midnight clear,
that glorious song of old
From angels bending near the earth
to touch their harps of gold
“Peace on the earth, goodwill to all,
from heaven's all gracious king”
The world in solemn stillness lay
to hear the angels sing.
Yet with the woes of sin and strife,
the world has suffered long
Beneath the angels swing and roll,
two thousand years have gone
And man at war with man hears not
The love songs that they bring
O hush the noise, ye men of strife
And hear the angels sing!
O ye beneath life’s crushing load,
whose forms are bending low
Who toil along the climbing way,
with painful steps and slow
Take heart! For comfort,
love and so, come swiftly on the wing
Oh rest beside the weary road
and hear the angels sing.
C . Angels Over Fields
Refrain:
Glor-ia in excelsis Deo!
Glor-ia in excelsis Deo!

Angels over fields were singing
Singing hymns from heaven on high
And the mountains echo ringing
Answered to their joyful cry

Shepherds why this celebration?
Why this burst of heavenly song?
What could cause such jubilation?
What inspired the heavenly throng? (Refrain)

They are bringing wondrous tidings
Tidings of an infant King
who will bring us peace abiding
'Tis of Jesus Christ they sing (Refrain)
We will seek the happy village
Of his birth this holy day
We will offer deepest homage
As our hearts and voices say... (Refrain)
Rise Up Shepherd And Follow
MEN: Rise up shepherd and follow (repeat a few times...)
LEADER: There's a star in the east on a Christmas morn
REFRAIN: Rise up shepherd and follow!

It'll lead to the place where the Saviour was born (REFRAIN)
If you take good heed of the angel's word (REFRAIN)
You'll forget you flock, you'll forget your herd (REFRAIN)
You can leave your sheep and leave your rams (REFRAIN)
You can leave your ewes and leave your lambs (REFRAIN)
Get up and follow the star to Bethlehem (REFRAIN)
CHORUS:
Come on and...FOLLOW! FOLLOW! FOLLOW! FOLLOW!
RISE UP SHEPHERD AND FOLLOW!

E. Men From The East
Men from the east came to Mary
They travelled a long time ago
They followed a star shining bright in the sky
To show them the way to go

CHORUS: Lord have mercy send a light in the dark
Be with us as we travel through the night
And help us to see in this holy child
Your own clear shining light.

We in our time come to Jesus
We may not have travelled so far
But we're glad to be led by the light of the truth
As those men were led by a star.

We in our time come to Jesus
We offer our gifts to the Son
And our homage we pay to the
Saviour who made
A lowly stable his home.
